Trata-se de uma caricatura ou exagero mas, com mais frequência que o desejável, a citação aproxima-se da realidade.

Todo o "Jardim Zoológico" vai à mesma escola, que tem programa quase único para toda a bicharada. Naturalmente que ensinar a subir arvores a um peixe não lhe servirá de muito ... ou de nada. E quem ensinar um peixe a cantar, das três uma: ou está a cometer uma frande, ou a fazer um frete, ou é desprovido de minima capacidade cognitiva.

The truth hurts, and as a species that avoids pain and seeks pleasure, the preference is a lie. Even when people hear the truth, their defenses kick in and protect the ego against it. This keeps the illusion, which is viewed as more pleasant, alive.

All truth passes through three stages: First it is ridiculed, second it is violently opposed and third it is accepted as being self-evident

How often do you hold back the truth to protect someone’s feelings? Many think they are being nice, or have accepted you simply just don’t say those things when they’ll hurt someone else’s feelings.

People don't want to hear the truth; they never do. They wanna live in some kind of fantasy.
